Stanley M. | October 24, 2018

Virginia seems like the most unlikely spot for r&b's next big stars. But within the last decade a handful of superstars like soul legend D' Angelo to Chris Brown 'known' for his krumping hip-hop inspired dance styling; to superstar producer Pharrell Williams have all called the DMV their home. And Now, J. Beale is here to extend his reach among the stars to bring his unique vocal talent to the forefront in today's r&b/soul.
With an impressive total of  "4" solid mixtapes in the vault, J.Beale is an seasoned artist that put in the time and dedication to evolve and grow as an artist.

How would you define your music?
My music is the story of a young man from Virginia trying to figure out 'Love and Life' at the same time.

How old were you when you first started to record music?
I was about 12 or 13 yrs old when I recorded my first song. My Family always supported everything I did as a kid, but I can't lie as I grew up my family didn't really see a future in music for me. It's been a back and forth struggle with that but I just have to keep being consistent that's all. Michael Jackson will forever be my idol and the reason I do music. I'm not trying to emulate his style of entertainment or anything like that. But the greatness and attention to detail that he brought to music is something that drives me everyday.

Do you write your own music?
I write 100% of my music. I take alot of pride in being a songwriter. I'm always trying to sharpen my pen.

When do you feel most inspired to create music?
Early in the morning at about 3 or 4am. my mind is usually racing with ideas. I don't know why.

What kinda of mood or feeling are you trying to portray with latest track "Heat Rise"?
I'm selling SEX. A whole lot of it, but ultimately I just want my fans to be able to hear the growth in my voice and my sound. I want my dedication to the studio to bleed through in every song I release.
